Yards Member Policies

 Hours of Operation:

    • Sunday – Wednesday: 10:00am – 7:00pm

    • Thursday: 10:00am – 11:00pm

    • Friday – Saturday: 10:00am – 1:00am

 Season:

    • May – September

 Age:

    • The Penthouse has a strict age limit of 21+ and guests will need to present a photo ID at the 1st Floor check-in station before they will be granted access

 Guest Passes

    • Weekend Guest Passes – Can be used Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Can also be used during the weekday.

    • Weekday Guest Passes – Can be used ONLY Monday through Friday.

Weekday guest passes are not valid on Holidays (Memorial Day – May 30, Independence Day – July 4, Labor Day-September 5) and Special Events

All Guest must be over the age of 21 with valid ID

 Guest Policy & Admission Charges:

    • Saturday, Sundays & Holidays before 7:00pm:

$25 admission charge (or Weekend Guest Pass) Saturday, Sunday & Holidays

    • Monday – Friday before 7:00pm:

$15 admission charge (or Weekday Guest Pass) Monday – Friday (excluding Holidays and Special Events)

Weekend Guest Admission rates will be charged on the following holidays: Memorial Day – May 30, Independence Day – July 4, Labor Day-September 5)

Any Penthouse members wanting to bring more than 3 guests during daytime hours (10:00am to 7:00pm) must have a written notice from Penthouse Management that arrangements have been made

(subject to capacity constraints)

    • Thursday – Saturday after 7:00pm: guests are free of charge during these times.

Penthouse members may bring up to 7 guest during evening hours (Thursday-Saturday after 7:00). More than 7 guests will require arrangements with Penthouse Management (subject to capacity constraints).

No guest passes will be redeemed or issued after capacity reaches 250

 Cabana Rentals

Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays & Special Events

    • $100 Rental Fee & $300 Food & Beverage Minimum.*

The rental fee will be charged to the members account when making the reservation. The rental fee will be nonrefundable if the reservation is cancelled less than 48 hours prior to the rental date.

    • 7 complimentary guests maximum may accompany the Penthouse Member with the reservation

Monday – Friday (Excluding Holidays & Special Events)

    • $100 Rental Fee & $250 Food & Beverage Minimum*

The rental fee will be charged to the members account when making the reservation. The rental fee will be nonrefundable if the reservation is cancelled less than 48 hours prior to the rental date.

    • Cabana rentals include 7 complementary guest passes

Weekend Cabana Rental Rates will be charged on the following holidays: Memorial Day – May 30, Independence Day – July 4, Labor Day-September 5)

Day Bed Rentals

North Deck Day Bed Rentals

    • 3 complimentary guests maximum may accompany the Penthouse Member with the reservation

    • Unreserved North Deck Day Beds are available free of charge on a first come basis Monday – Friday. (Excluding Holidays & Special Events) Members will still have to use gust passes to get access for their guests

Weekend Day Bed Rental Rates will be charged on the following holidays: Memorial Day – May 30, Independence Day – July 4, Labor Day-September 5)

*Failure to show within the first 3 hours of your reservation (1:00pm) will be considered as a cancellation and the reserved Day Bed will become available to other members. It will result in the forfeiture of the reservation fee and the full food and beverage minimum value fee for late cancellation.

 Check-in Procedures:

Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays & Special Events

    • 1st Floor Check-in: All Penthouse members and their guests must check-in at the 1st Floor entrance Penthouse Pool check-in station located near the elevator.

    • 4th Floor second Check-in: All Penthouse members and their guests must also check-in at the 4th Floor entrance to gain access to the Penthouse. 4th Floor check-in is located at the Penthouse entrance.

Monday – Thursday

  • 1st Floor Check-in: All Penthouse members and their guests must check-in at the 1st Floor VIDA front desk from Monday – Thursday.

    • 4th Floor second Check-in: All Penthouse members and their guests must also check-in at the 4th Floor entrance to gain access to the Penthouse. 4th Floor check-in is located at the Penthouse entrance.

Re-admittance: Guests must keep their wristband on at all times. If guests leave the Penthouse, they will need to show their wristband at both check-in stations in order to gain entry.

Penthouse members must accompany their guests into the facility whenever possible.  Penthouse members may also leave guest names at the 1st Floor check-in desk. Any guests not listed on the Penthouse member’s guest list will be denied access.

If a “plus one” is listed on the guest list, the Penthouse member will be required to accompany their guest or go down to the 1st Floor check-in station to meet their guest and pay the admission charge if applicable.

Food & Beverage Service:

    • Food and Beverage Service begins daily at 11:00am. Food and Beverage service stops 1 hour prior to closing.

 Outside Food & Beverage:

    • We do not allow members or guests to bring outside food or beverages (including alcohol) to the Penthouse. Violation of this policy is grounds for immediate membership termination.

 Smoking:

    • The Penthouse Pool and Lounge Navy Yards is a smoke-free environment.

 Weather:

    • Upon visual observation of lightning or if thunder is heard:

      • Penthouse staff will immediately clear the Pool & Pool Deck of all members & guests, explaining that lightning has been sighted (or thunder heard) and it is the responsibility of the Penthouse to minimize these hazards.

      • Patrons at the Penthouse Bar must also evacuate immediately.

      • The Penthouse will remain cleared up to 30 minutes after the lightning is last seen or thunder is last heard.

    • The Penthouse General Manager will determine all other weather-related closures at his discretion

 Gym/Indoor areas of VIDA Fitness:

    • All Penthouse members and their guests must wear a shirt, shoes, and shorts/pants/skirt while inside any indoor area of VIDA Fitness

 Events

    • Private Events

The Penthouse does allow Members to hold events during Peak Hours. These events are restricted to 100 people and do not affect member access to the facility. The Penthouse Pool and Lounge is not available for a full-facility buy-out for private or promotional events during Peak Hours.

    • Promotional Events 

Until Penthouse reaches its membership capacity, Penthouse may sponsor “promotional events” from time to time this summer. Promotional events are free to members and are guaranteed access. Guests will be admitted in accordance to Penthouse Guest Policies. These events may occur during Peak Periods.

    • Charitable Events

The entire pool club may be reserved for a charitable event in which case Penthouse Members will be guaranteed access but will be required to purchase a ticket to access these events.  Only 501C-3 registered charities are eligible to host an event using the entire facility and all ticket sales must benefit the charity directly. Such events will not occur during Peak Periods.

    • Off-Hour Events

The Penthouse Pool and Lounge does rent out the venue on evenings outside operating hours (Sunday – Wednesday after 7:00). During this time, Members may not have access to the facility.

VIDA Member Policies

  • VIDA members may access the Penthouse on Thursday, Friday and Saturday after 7:00pm. VIDA members do not have access at any other time unless they are the guest of a Penthouse member.

  • VIDA members may bring up to 7 guests per person on Thursday, Friday and Saturday after 7:00pm, subject to capacity.

    • VIDA members must accompany their guests into the facility whenever possible.  VIDA members may also leave guest names at the 1st Floor check-in desk. Any guests not listed on the VIDA member’s guest list will be denied access.

    • If a “plus one” is listed on the guest list, the VIDA member will be required to accompany their guest or go down to the 1st Floor check-in station to meet their guest and pay the guest fee if applicable.

  • VIDA members may not reserve cabanas or Day Beds in advance, but may make a day of reservation on-site, subject to availability.
