Penthouse Pool and Lounge Navy Yard Member Policies

 Hours of Operation:

  • Sunday – Wednesday: 10:00am – 7:00pm
  • Thursday: 10:00am – 11:00pm
  • Friday – Saturday: 10:00am – 1:00am

 Season:

  • May – September

 Age:

  • The Penthouse has a strict age limit of 21+ and guests must present a valid, government issued photo ID at the 1 st Floor check-in station before Penthouse will grant access.

 Guest Passes

  • Weekend Guest Passes ($29) – Penthouse members may use weekend guest passes on any day at any time, including Holidays & Special Events.
  • Weekday Guest Passes ($19) – Penthouse members may use weekday guest passes Monday through Friday ONLY, excluding Holidays & Special Events. Weekday guest passes are not valid on the following Holidays: Memorial Day – May 27, Independence Day – July 4, Labor Day – September 2, and Special Events.
  • Evening Guest Passes ($19) – Penthouse members may use evening guest passes any evening starting at 6:00pm.
  • Penthouse members can purchase Guest Passes at the Front Desk with their card on file or available Perkville points.
  • Penthouse members must accompany their guests to the pool club and remain with guests at all times.
  • Readmittance: Guests must keep their wristband on at all times. If guests leave the Penthouse, they will need to show their wristband and ID’s at both check-in stations to gain entry.
  • Penthouse will not issue any guest passes after capacity reaches 250 people

Cabana & Day Bed Rentals:

  • Saturday, Sundays, Holidays, & Special Events ($300 Cabana, $150 Pool Bed, & $100 North Deck Bed Food & Beverage Minimum). Penthouse also observes the $300, $150, & $100 Food & Beverage Minimum on the following Holidays: Memorial Day – May 27, Independence Day – July 4, Labor Day – September 2, and Special Events.
  • Monday – Friday and non-holidays ($150 Cabana/$100 Pool Bed Food & Beverage Minimum)
  • Penthouse will charge a $50 Service Fee if the member cancels their reservation less than 24 hours prior to the rental date.
  • Penthouse will charge the full Food & Beverage Minimum when the member fails to arrive within the first 3 hours of their reservation (by 1:00pm). Penthouse will then cancel the reservation and make the reserved cabana/day bed available to other members.
  • Penthouse members may purchase a maximum of 7 Cabana/3 Day Bed guest passes with a reservation. Penthouse members must accompany their guests to the pool club and remain with guests at all times.
  • Members are allowed to reserve 1 Cabana and 1 Day bed per day.
  • Unreserved Cabanas & Day Beds are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Check-in Procedures:

Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Holidays, & Special Events

  • 1st Floor Check-in: All Penthouse members and their guests must check-in at the 1st Floor entrance Penthouse Pool check-in station located near the elevator.
  • Penthouse Check-in: All Penthouse members and their guests must also check-in at the 5th Floor entrance to gain access to the Penthouse. 5th Floor check-in is located at the Penthouse entrance.

Monday – Thursday

  • 1st Floor Check-in: All Penthouse members and their guests must check-in at the 1st Floor VIDA Front Desk.
  • Penthouse Check-in: All Penthouse members and their guests must also check-in at the 5th Floor entrance to gain access to the Penthouse. 5th Floor check-in is located at the Penthouse entrance.

Food & Beverage Service:

  • Food and Beverage Service begins daily at 11:00am. The Kitchen finishes service at 6:00pm Sunday – Wednesday; and 10:00pm Thursday – Saturday. The Bar finishes service at 6:00pm Sunday – Wednesday, 11:00pm Thursday, and 12:00am Friday and Saturday.

Food & Beverage Service:

  • Food and Beverage Service begins daily at 11:00am. Kitchen finishes service 6:00pm Sunday – Wednesday; and 10:00pm Thurs-Saturday. The Bar finishes service 6:00pm Sunday – Wednesday, 11:00pm Thurs, and 12:00am Friday and Saturday.

Outside Food & Beverage:

  • We do not allow members or guests to bring outside food or beverages (including alcohol) to the Penthouse. Violation of this policy is grounds for immediate membership termination. We reserve the right to inspect all bags.

Gym/Indoor areas of VIDA Fitness:

  • All Penthouse members and their guests must wear a shirt, shoes, and shorts/pants/skirt while inside any indoor area of VIDA Fitness.

Smoking:

  • The Penthouse is a smoke-free & vape-free environment. Violation of this policy is grounds for immediate membership termination.

Weather:

  • Upon visual observation of lightning or if thunder is heard:
    • Penthouse staff will immediately clear the Pool & Pool Deck of all members & guests, explaining that lightning has been sighted (or thunder heard) and it is the responsibility of the Penthouse to minimize these hazards.
    • Patrons at the Penthouse Bar must also evacuate immediately.
    • The Penthouse will remain cleared up to 30 minutes after the lightning is last seen or thunder is last heard.
  • The Penthouse General Manager will determine all other weather-related closures at their sole discretion.

VIDA All Access Member Policies

  • VIDA All Access members have access to the Penthouse Monday – Thursday, excluding Holidays & Special Events. All Access members may also access the Penthouse starting at 5:00pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Holidays, & Special Events.
  • All the above member policies apply to VIDA All Access members when accessing the Penthouse during the allowed days and times.

VIDA Individual Access Member Policies

  • VIDA Individual Access members must be accompanied by a Penthouse or All Access VIDA member to gain entry to the pool. A guest pass must be purchased.
