The Penthouse Pool and Lounge is open for members and their guests for outdoor food and beverage service. We have modified the layout of lounge chairs and day beds to allow for proper social distancing. The pool itself is open with capacity restrictions and social distancing requirements. Please use the VIDA Fitness Official App to book your reservation.

Cleaning Protocol

  • Chaise lounge chairs, cabanas and cabana surfaces, pool and day beds, towel holders, umbrellas, the pool host stand, guest tables, and bar stools will be sanitized before and after each use with our Tersano cleaning system.
  • Hand sanitizer dispensers will be placed at the entrances, bar areas, on the pool deck, and outside of the restrooms.

Access & Restrictions

  • The Penthouse Pool and Lounge is open to members and their guests. If you are interested in becoming a member, click here.
  • Please book your visit on the VIDA app. For capacity planning purposes, you will not be admitted without a reservation.
  • Check-in at the VIDA Front Desk using the VIDA App and follow the wayfinding signage to the Penthouse elevator.
  • Check-in at the Penthouse host stand under your reservation and follow the wayfinding signage into the pool club.
  • We will take your body temperature with a no-contact forehead thermometer at the front entrance of VIDA to ensure your temperature is below 99.8 degrees.
  • Everyone must wear a protective facemask at all times, not including the physical act of eating, drinking, or while in the pool. You must wear a protective facemask while indoors.
  • Towels will be available at the pool host stand.
  • Limited food and beverage menu.

Social Distancing:

  • Everyone must maintain at least six feet of distance from groups outside of your household while at the pool club, waiting in line, or when using elevators.
  • We will place all furniture to allow for social distancing. Do not move any furniture.
  • We have installed floor decals showing you exactly where to stand when waiting in line.

Making a Reservation

MyIClub ID. If you cannot connect to

MyIClub ID – please ask the front desk team for help.

Making Your Reservation

Step 1: Open the VIDA Fitness app

Step 2: Click on CLUB on navigation on the bottom

Step 3: Click on the icon “Penthouse Reservations” on the top middle row

Step 4: Make sure your location is set to U Street or The Yards (found in orange print below the orange header)

Step 5: Click on Calendar

Step 6: Select the day you would like to come to the pool (you can book 48 hours in advance)

Step 7: Reserve your visit. If you would prefer to book a Cabana or Day Bed – you can use the app as well under Penthouse Reservations

Troubleshooting:

If you do not see the Penthouse Reservations icon, close the app. Check the App Store for updates. Complete the update and re-open the VIDA Fitness app.

If you need to cancel your visit, go back through the reservation system and find your date and time – click CANCEL BOOKING.

How can members gain access to Penthouse Pool Club?

All-Access members now have access to the pool Monday – Friday.

How do I make a reservation?

You can make a reservation through the VIDA app straight through your phone! The all-new VIDA app is your ticket to the club, and allows you to check-in, make reservations, book cabanas & daybeds, and much much more. Reservations can be made up to 48 hours in advance.

What are the times I can make a Penthouse reservation?

Sunday – Thursday – Two reservation periods:

10am – 2pm

2:30pm – 7pm

Friday & Saturday – Four reservation periods:  

10am – 2pm

2:30pm – 7pm

7pm – 11pm

8:30pm – 11pm

Can I bring my guest to the pool?

All Members are permitted to bring a limited number of guests depending on the reservation they have:

General Pool Reservation – one (1) guest max
Bed Reservation – three (3) guests max
Cabana Reservation – five (5) guests max

All members must have guests passes on their account to bring guests*. Additional guest passes may be purchased at the host stand.

*Number of passes on account may vary depending on membership type

Is the pool open?
The pool is open with a maximum capacity of 30 people. No groups larger than 6 may congregate together and there must be a minimum of 6 feet between all groups.
